DREAM – A condition or achievement that is longed for, an aspiration

March 22, 2011 on 9:16 pm | In Dream Types | No Comments

HEART TO HEART

DREAM – A condition or achievement that is longed for, an aspiration.

Today in Heart to Heart we looked up the word Dream in the dictionary.  We talked about the importance of having dreams and taking action to make them come true.  The children gave examples of people who followed their dreams and made a difference in the world (i.e. Walt Disney, The Wright Brothers).

The children told me that IDEAL school was my Dream.  I agreed and told the children that my Dream has not been fully realized yet.  They closed their eyes as I described my vision of an IDEAL preschool, elementary and middle school campus.  I showed the children a floor plan of the IDEAL Middle School and highlighted some of the unique features.

They were excited to hear about the following features:

Student lounge area on the second floor (“cardinals nest”)
Lockers
Student store
Lap tops
Labs and studios
Auditorium and stage
Outside sport court, etc.

We all walked over to the building and stood inside.  The children took turns describing their personal wishes for the IDEAL Middle School.  Each child was invited to write down or draw their ideas and bring them to the office.

The children declared that IDEAL School is our dream come true.  Our session concluded with Kali Ashurst presenting me with a rubber band attitude bracelet with the word DREAM on it.  Coincidence … I think not!!

The journey continues,

Lucid Dreaming – Its Benefits, and How to Have a Lucid Dream

March 22, 2011 on 3:17 am | In Lucid Dreams | No Comments

Lucid dreaming is the ability to dream and be consciously aware that you are dreaming. It is a way of entering, or perhaps I should say re-entering, the Astral Plane.

This is the invisible realm from which everything we know, including our imagination and those metaphysical aspects inherent in our beings, spring.

Think of it this way: Your dreams are the other side of your waking life, – just as your waking life is the other side of your dreams.

Once you are able to be awake, truly awake, in your dreams you will find yourself asking if there is any difference between the dream you think you are dreaming, and the reality you think you are experiencing in your waking life.

You will then realize that it is through your dreaming life that you create your physical life and all its experiences. It is in the dream state that you make the choices you then experience in your waking state.

Once you realize this, you will become convinced of the advantages of lucid dreaming.

How to Have a Lucid Dream

The following are instructions that should help you experience a very special type of lucid dream.

This type of dream will help harmonize any parts of your being that might currently ‘warring’ with each other, and unintentionally be preventing you from experiencing the full creative power of your being.

I recommend you keep a notepad and pen close at hand, so that you can write down your dream(s) upon awakening.

1. Relax Completely

Sit comfortably on your bed, look straight ahead and lift your eyes to a 45-degree angle, then close your eyelids. This will help you achieve your Alpha Level of Consciousness, as it helps slow down your brain frequencies.

Lie down on your bed keeping your eyes in the same position.

2. Count Backwards

Begin mentally to count down from 10 to 1. Tell yourself with every count that you are becoming more relaxed physically but more alert mentally. Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly, more slowly with each count.

3. Make a Mental Request

As soon as you reach the number 1, mentally ask for a True Dream that comes from the Gates of Horn to help harmonize the portions of your being.

These types of lucid dreams will get you involved with the underlying beliefs behind your day-to-day reality, and will help you see how you create your own reality.

When you awaken, immediately write down everything you can remember about the dream. Trust that its meaning will become clearer as the day progresses.

How to Lucid Dream with Binaural Beats

March 21, 2011 on 11:34 am | In Lucid Dreams | No Comments

Lucid dreaming is being aware that you are dreaming while you are in a dream state. It is also when you are able to take control of your dreams to experience anything that you want. There are several tricks that help to achieve lucid dreams but the most effective tool available to be successful is listening to binaural beats.

How do Binaural Beats Work?

Brainwave entrainment such as binaural audios work by presenting two separate frequencies into each individual ear. Your brain then creates a third frequency which will be the difference between the two originally presented. In this way you are able to help your brain experience a very low frequency state that it would normally have only been able to achieve through years of meditation practice.

How do Binaural Beats Help with Lucid Dreaming?

The problem that most people have when trying to experience a lucid dream is that their dream suddenly comes to an end. The reason this happens is because their brain frequencies slip into the Delta brainwave state.

By listening to binaural beats or even isochronic tones (which is another more advanced form of brainwave entrainment) you are able to keep your brainwaves at the exact frequency needed in order to experience lucid dreams.

Conscious dreaming takes practice and can take some time to achieve. Using an external stimulus such as binaural beats is known to help make the process easier and faster.

How Long Until you Get Results?

Results vary for each and every person. Some people achieve lucid dreams within the first couple tries after using binaural beats. With others it has taken a couple of weeks of continuous practice. For most however they have worked and they have successfully experienced conscious dreaming and all the benefits that go along with that.

How to Be Most Effective

In order for your binaural audios to be most effective there are a couple of things you need to do.

Many people listen to their recording when they go to bed at night. However for best results listen to your brainwave audio when you first wake up in the morning and are still quite groggy. This has proven to be the best time to achieve conscious dreams.
Make sure you are in a quiet and dark environment where you will not be disturbed.
Make sure to listen to the binaural beats with a pair of headphones. If you are listening to isochronic tones you do not need the headphones.
Don’t give up on the first try. This method has proven to be very successful so just keep practicing and you will eventually get the results you want.

The last thing to be aware of is to make sure you get a good quality brainwave recording. They are not all created equal and some are definitely better than others. The better the quality, the better your results will be. There are several options for very affordable good quality binaural audios out there.

For more information on the different types of brainwave audios visit www.BinauralBeatsOnline.com where you’ll find much more detail on where to find quality binaural beats for lucid dreams.

How Does Lucid Dreaming Work?

March 20, 2011 on 2:06 pm | In Lucid Dreams | No Comments

Lucid Dreaming

Dreaming is a phenomenon that all of us experience.  However most often than not, we wake up to question of what we dreamt and why we dreamt certain things and sometimes even wondered why there were unconnected strings in our dreams – like a badly directed movie! How nice it would be if you could dream of what you want to dream and how you want your dream to progress?  This is the phenomenon of lucid dreaming and if you thought that was difficult – then you are wrong.  This is quite possible and if you are keen to know how – read on.

Dreaming, waking up, sleeping all events that are controlled by the brain and the brain in turn is controlled by the various frequency levels that operate in and around the physical being.  So what are the frequencies that you need to bother about to dreaming or rather lucid dreaming that is even more interesting?  The alpha frequency state is the state when you are very much awake and active.  Then you should know of the theta frequency range which is when you are capable of dreaming.  Delta frequency prevails when you are fast asleep.

So, when you are sleeping, your brain is in the delta stage and once it reaches a high, it gets into the next frequency level of theta where the process of dreaming begins.  These dreams are the ones that you have no control on – so where and how is lucid dreaming possible?  Once you reach the theta level, you need to have enough expertise to pick up the alpha frequency whereby you are awake – but immediately you need to drop back to the theta state even before you are fully awake.

Find The Secret To Optimum Lucidity

So what has happened now is that you are awake but you are not!  The truth is that since you went into the alpha frequency state, you did wake up and so did your subconscious, but then since you dropped back into theta you shall continue to dream.  Since you are awake and aware of the fact, you realize you are dreaming while you are dreaming and hence you have the power to control this whole activity because of this realization.  It is truly a privilege to dream what you want to dream and achieve in your dreams what is not possible in practical life.

Now that you have understood that the whole key to lucid dreaming is the ability to change frequencies, if there is an external stimulator to help, it is definitely good.  You can try the Lucid dreaming binaural belt that will help you get to a stage of lucid dreaming easily.  It also depends on when you try on this belt for better results.  It is most ideal if you wake up from your deep slumber and go back again into the state of blissful sleep while you are on this binaural belt.  Your sub conscious will awaken but then since you start sleeping again, you will be able to dream – so you will know you are dreaming, while you are on the job.

Nice Girls Don’t Go Naked in their Dreams (or Do They?)

March 19, 2011 on 1:47 am | In Dream Types | No Comments

My wife, Brenda and I were at some friends house one night to play some dominoes. At one point during the evening, we started talking about dreams and particularly, being naked in dreams. I mentioned a recent dream where I had been naked and very openly so. Brenda mentioned that she had rarely if ever had a dream being naked.

Growing up, she was raised in a fairly strict family and was not able to express herself like she would have preferred. She once got in trouble at a young age for saying “Golly”, as her mother thought that was out of line and just one step away from profanity. Later in her first marriage, she was afraid to speak her mind without feeling the wrath of her husband. So she grew up not being able to express herself openly. So, from the soul’s perspective, it made sense that she hadn’t had any dreams of being naked.

It seems that I have had my share of dreams being naked. No, this doesn’t mean that I secretly wish to join a nudist colony. I grew up in a fairly open-minded family. My father was known to say just about anything, not to provoke, but rather to just sometimes get a rise out of someone. We used to call him a champion “Bullshipper.” I think that some of my dad rubbed off on me.

Growing up, one of the neighborhood ladies use to say I was “such a nice boy.” My oldest sister and I would laugh about that as we grew up. When we’re “nice” we don’t say anything to offend anyone or speak our mind, in general. Or do we? Society asks that we don’t “rock the boat,” but sometimes it sure is fun to do it anyway.

From the soul’s perspective, being naked in a dream represents being open and honest, particularly in regard to how openly you have communicated (revealed yourself) to others. I can remember the many times that I have revealed a part of myself to others in my waking life, only to be naked in my dream the following night. Coincidence? No. Actually it serves as a perfect metaphor with how openly we share ourselves with others.

I was giving a talk once to a service club. At the end of the talk, one gentleman in the back yelled out, “You know, my wife always dreams about being naked in church!” Well, that dream spoke volumes to me. Since being naked represents being open and honest, I knew exactly the meaning of her dream. A building in a dream represents a state of mind we reside in from day to day. A church represents living in a state of mind representing spirituality. So, I told that his wife is open and honest about her spirituality. The man replied, “Yeah, she talks about that stuff all the time.” Interestingly, a few months later I was giving another talk on dreams to another service organization. The same man was there and again mentioned that his wife dreams about being naked in church. I told him it means the same thing as it did a few months ago!

How open and honest are you in your waking life? It is liberating being able to speak your mind. You may find yourself, like my wife did, in situtations where is was difficult to express herself openly. Once you take the steps to say what you are really about the inner world takes notice. If you are tentative about revealing yourself to others in your waking life, then you will most likely have a dream where you are uncomfortable about being naked.

One night I dreamed about being naked while walking down a sidewalk. I then saw a car coming in my direction and I openly “flashed” the people in the car. I just let it all hang out in my dream state. This meant that I was being the same way in my waking state. The day before I had gone on a job interview and I communicated very openly about who I was and some of the metaphysical beliefs I held. While I did not get the job (and glad that I didn’t) I open about who I was. I guess I was a little shocked at how I acted in the dream, as it certainly was an extreme for me, as naked dreams go. I’ve had plenty of naked dreams, but nothing like this.

It is easy for us to view our dreams on purely a physical level. While there is a connection from our dreams to our physical life, the real meaning is gained from from understanding them on a spiritual level. The spiritual is who and what we really are. You will find that you will not die if you openly reveal to others things about yourself not revealed before. Try just openly revealing something about yourself that you normally wouldn’t. You might mention to a friend that you lack confidence in an area of your life, for example. Part of life is learning to transcend our fears. By communicating to your friend that you lack confidence, they just might be able to help you overcome this lack of confidence and help you move on with your life.

By the way, my wife has started to have naked dreams. As she has begun to be more open in who she is with others, it is no wonder. She even had an intimate encounter in one dream, but that is for another article.

Simple Lucid Dreaming Techniques!

March 18, 2011 on 12:47 pm | In Lucid Dreams | No Comments

Would you like to know some simple techniques on how to have lucid dreams? The follow are examples that you might want to try.

First, you need to have that “desire” to remember your dreams. Just before you’ll sleep, ensure that you’ll have a clutter-free mind and instill in your head that you need to remember your dream, no matter what.

Second, make sure that your sleeping schedule is regular. Do not take medication of have alcohol just before you’ll sleep otherwise these would stop you from recalling your dreams.

Third, bear in mind that diet is also a crucial factor in lucid dreaming. Avoid eating fatty foods or eating just before you’ll sleep because this would hinder you from remembering your dreams. It will have its attention on digesting food instead of getting the rest of what your body needs and would just divert your bodily resources from your brain.

Fourth, always have a pad or journal within your reach so that you could record or write about your dream as soon as you remember them. Keep track of your dreams through writing it in your journal. It is also an advantage for you to have a lamp just beside your bed so that you could turn it on once you have a dream and you’ll write things on your journal.

Lastly, do not get out of your bed that quickly. Be still in your bed and keep your eyes closed and move as little as possible. Try to wake up in a slow-paced manner and hold on to what your current feelings are and let your mind wander for you to be able to remember your dreams. Picture the images that you could find in your current dream and write down details for you to remember it very well.

It is quite fun to do lucid dreaming. It’s like you could make things happen in your dream. You could be anything that you want. You could be the president of your country or maybe your favorite superhero. The feeling could be quite liberating knowing you are becoming the person or you have done things you’ve never thought you could do, even if it’s just in your dreams.

If you’d like to get further information about lucid dreaming, you could actually make a research of your own through the help of internet or buying books on lucid dreaming. You could also discuss it with other people so that you would know some real testimonials from them regarding lucid dreaming.

Finally! A great place to know more about lucid dreaming techniques! Know more about lucid dreaming induction today and have better control over your subconscious!

The Origin of Native American Dream Catchers

March 17, 2011 on 6:32 pm | In Dream Types | No Comments

Hanging a Native American dream catcher near your bed or bedroom window will help guarantee that bad dreams will be less likely to reach you. Dreams, both good and bad, flow all about us during the night, like moths. In order to assure that bad dreams do not disturb you, count on the dream catcher to intercept and hold these nightmares. The morning sun will cause any trapped bad dreams, caught in the dream catcher, to dissipate.

Native American dream catchers are usually made of a circle or hoop of willow enclosing woven sinew strands. Good dreams filter down to the sleeper through the means of feathers and beads which hang from the base of the willow hoop. Household items, anything that might be beneficial, are sometimes hung from the bottom of the dream catcher. Many people believe that the webbing will trap bad dreams and nightmares. When the morning light appears, the bad dreams seem to disappear.

The woven netting in the center of the dream catcher hoop mirrors a spider’s web. Most times, dream catchers are constructed in a way that the interior resembles a spider’s web. Where the netting is attached, traditional Native American dream catchers often have eight points. This demonstrates the eight legs of the spider spinner. Placing a feather in the center of the webbing is a symbol of air.

The art of the Indian dream catcher began with the Ojibwa, or Chippewa, tribes. This old practise was originally meant to protect young children. Bad dreams can easily disturb a youngster’s sleep and the night can be a frightening time for any child. Sleepy children can be comforted by the simple act of placing a dream catcher over the head of their bed.

Native American dream catchers soon spread far beyond the Ojibwa, and were adopted by the other nations. For generations, Indian children, as well as adults, have been protected from bad dreams by dream catchers. This interesting item and the growth and interest in Native American culture has made the dream catcher popular. Native American dream catchers can now be purchased for your home. Authentically made dream catchers will add a touch of Native American life to your home.

Dream catchers made by Native Americans will use traditional materials and be created with the proper spirit. Sometimes, they are even used in windows to add beauty to the home. A dream catcher above every bed in the house can add a measure of comfort and security to the entire family.

Author Craig Chambers offers more about the Native American Dreamcatcher on his website. You can also get his monthly newsletter, online discounts and download his popular free ebook from http://www.missiondelrey.com.

Astral Travel Techniques and Lucid Dreams

March 17, 2011 on 5:52 am | In Lucid Dreams | No Comments

Astral travel is the method of leaving one’s physical body and making a journey to the astral planes by his or her astral body. The astral plane is a dimension of much higher vibration than the earth plane. According to experts, astral projection is one of our natural qualities which we all had during our childhood and which we lose as we grow up. Still, every adult is making astral voyages while sleeping. But the person is unaware of it at most times as at that time, our physical body is simply resting.

Lucid Dreaming

Lucid dream, on the other hand, is the incident where one becomes aware that he/she is sleeping and dreaming. It is just a play of our logical and subconscious minds where we often cannot tell the differences between being awake and sleeping. For example, a lucid dreamer may wake up in the morning, get ready for work and actually leave for his office only to wake up in the bed later. Lucid dreaming is a scientific process and does not really need the dreamer to sleep to occur. Thus there are 2 kinds of lucid dreams: Dream initiated lucid dreaming (DILD) and wake initiated lucid dreaming (WILD).

Differences between Astral voyage & Lucid Dreaming

Both of these incidents are ways where one can one can gain access to the astral realm, though lucid dreaming is not the same out of body experience (OBE) as astral travelling. In case of lucid dream, one is in control and in charge of how the experience is going to be, but in the case of the other, people are not controlling their own experience; but just merely exploring the details of the new world. So in astral projection, one is bound by himself, while in the other one if totally free and is at his creative best.

Differences between Astral Travel & Remote Viewing

Remote viewing is the process of seeing another place and time while being at his own place and time. The difference with astral voyage is here one does not need to leave his/her physical body as opposed to other. Remote viewers are on the same ‘earth’ plane while astral travelers are on the ‘astral’ plane.

Techniques for Astral projection

Astral traveling is best accomplished by some techniques, which are useful because sometimes it is too hard to experience it without any of them. Although anyone can learn this skill, like any other skills it is easier for some than other. Astral silver cord is the most popular technique where one has to visualize (not the cord) that he/she is climbing it to get into higher places with their imaginary hands.

Other astral travel techniques include roll out technique (imagining that one is being pulled out from his/her physical body), anchor technique (imagining a familiar object to be at any place and to move it with your thoughts). All these techniques are to be done while relaxed.

It helps to practise these techniques while in bed in dark. It is mandatory to let go of your fear and anxiety and be relaxed. Having patience is another tip from the astral travel guide.

It will Explain How You Have Within Yourself the Infinite Power to Co-Create Your Life. Visit my blog to download one session free on astral travel.
