Dreaming

The Earl of Downe has come home to rusticate from his wild ways–spurred by his need to prove his father was right…that he is nothing but a worthless rake. But at a neighboring estate, Letty Hornsby believes dear Richard is her hero, her dream man, her heart’s desire! She’s been in love with him since childhood, since she was eleven and accidentally knocked him into a river, the first of several such disastrous encounters. Now that the earl’s friends have convinced him to leave Town and recuperate from overindulgence (women, alcohol and gambling), Letty is taking advantage of the opportunity and spinning her own plan to save Richard from himself.

Richard expects his life to be boring and restful once he’s home, but after a chance encounter with the meddlesome Letty and her obnoxious dog, Gus, he discovers there is no rest for the wicked. He soon finds himself captive aboard a smugglers’ ship with an adoring young woman who is a walking catastrophe…and her enormous clod of a dog. Never missing a beat, she gets them into one hilarious predicament after another before Richard realizes that she might be the one woman who can save his black soul with a faith in him that is bright enough to burn the shadows from the darkest heart. If he can survive….

Publishers Weekly starred review. “A ray of summer sunshine!” Jill Barnett has concocted another charming tale filled with witty dialog, plenty of humor and a sprinkling of magic.

Dreaming

Romantic Times hails Jill Barnett as “a true new star of the genre!” Unfailingly engaging and original, she now concocts another winning tale wherein a stubborn lord and a high-spirited lass are locked in a battle of wills…and on a collision course with love.

Most English girls meet their heart’s desire across a crowded ballroom or in a genteel parlor. Letitia Olive Hornsby finds hers when she knocks him into a river. A curly-haired, blue-eyed hellion of only eleven, she decides even then that Richard, the dashing, handsome, and totally disreputable son of the Earl of Downe, is the white knight of her dreams.

Now fully grown and unexpectedly beautiful, Letty is spinning a plan to save Richard from himself…by marrying him, of course. And he soon has the bruises to prove it. The insufferable, albeit unforgettable, chit has come back into Richard’s life with a crash — literally falling into his arms. He is struck by her softness, her dizzying scent, and her impossible meddling in his ruinous drinking, gambling, and amorous liaisons. But when fate makes them prisoners of a ring of dangerous smugglers, Richard discovers in his mischievous cellmate a pure, romantic, questing spirit that sparks a flame in his own shadowed heart. If only they can escape, a wondrous passion can blaze free…and they can find a lifetime’s adventures in each other’s arms.

My Midnight Therapist: A Journal of Dreams & Case Studies

November 14, 2013 on 7:33 am | In Dream Types | No Comments

This book consists of Lucid and Vivid dreams that I have had when I was dealing with grief, love, abandonment, desire, wish fulfillment, etc. This book contains dreams that are action packed, and filled with raw emotion. I began to dream in an extraordinary way shortly after my father died almost 5 years ago. I’ve also experienced passionate dreams as a result of a new love in my life. I then began to analyze those dreams using Sigmund Freud’s and Carl Jung’s dream interpretations. In this book, I have offered myself as a case study to allow the reader to analyze each dream using Freudian, Jungian, and their personal interpretations to understand what the author is feeling. This is a must read for those in higher academia, psychology students, professors and anyone interested in dream analysis and lucid dreaming.
