Eu Sou

Eu sou um terremoto
Uma força da natureza
As minhas raízes dançam
Salões de placas tectônicas
Rios de lava
O meu sangue ferve
Flores de fogo
A primavera trepida através da minha pele
Numa incessante erupção de vida
Explosões que pronunciam o meu nome
Estou comprometido com a intensidade
A minha aliança é a mudança
Estou comprometido com o espaço
Veja, a minha noiva se aproxima
E quando este horizonte me erguer
Como um chicote de estrelas
Eu mergulharei para açoitar
E beijar o dorso da terra
Pois eu sou uma força da natureza
E sempre chego de surpresa
Eu sou um terremoto!

I Am

I’m an earthquake
My roots dance
Ballrooms of tectonic plates
Rivers of lava
My blood boils
Flowers of fire
The spring trembles through my skin
In an ongoing eruption of life
Explosions that pronounce my name
My commitment is intensity
My association is the change
I am allied to the space
See, my fianceé approaches
And when this horizon lifts me up
Like a whip of stars
I will dive to whip
And kiss the back of the land
Since I am a force of nature
And you didn’t see me coming
I am an earthquake!

History, credits and thanks:

A few weeks ago I received an invitation to do a very special collaboration made by Tim Andrews. He has Parkinson’s Disease, but above all, he has Courage. For six years he has been registering and sublimating, photographically, his journey (Over the Hill: A Photographic Journey) to rediscover yourself through the eyes of those who perceive him beyond the obvious and ordinary. Tim Andrews broke the mirror of self-pity to see his own reflection through the Art, Love and Mistery. This is my interpretation and so I tried to express him through image and words.

Two photos (two self portraits) made by Tim Andrews itself were used in the edition I did. The translation into English and the final text had the spontaneous and always providential collaboration of my friend and partner in this endless road, Faoze Chibli. Thank you always, brother!
Tim Andrews thank you for the opportunity to share a part of this journey with my search and thank you for believe I might be able to find something that could overcome your, my, our limits!
And thanks Daniela Karg, only we know how much my gratitude would never fit here, but yet I thank you, even knowing that your actions and your love are inconditional!

Reflection of a reflection, S-Bahn Train – Berlin

"Keep the fire burning
Come on baby, dream baby dream
Yeah keep on dreaming
Come on darling, dry your eyes

Come on and dry your eyes
I just wanna see you smile
I wanna see you smile
I just wanna see you smile"

Warning Dreams

The subconscious mind is very observant. It knows far more about our bodies, minds, and lives than our conscious mind does.

Researchers have found that by hooking people up to electroencephalograph machines, for example, they can tell when someone realizes or recognizes a target object, such as a landmark on a map as viewed from a plane in real life, long before the subject signals (by pressing a button) that they have consciously recognized it.

Dreams are the nature’s way of communicating subconscious knowledge to our conscious minds—or trying to. You see, the subconscious mind communicates in pictures, metaphors, and symbols. It rarely deals in names or numbers.

That makes it easy to avoid unpleasant realizations if we choose to ignore them: the cheating partner, the serious health problem, the impending job loss. We do know, but we refuse to accept or acknowledge an unpleasant situation, because then we would have to do something about it.

Most of us never dream that we will be arrested and spend time in jail. It is unthinkable to the average middle class person. Yet it happens every day to someone.

On some level we may know that we drive when we’ve drunk a little too much, that we keep forgetting to pay those traffic tickets, or that we are doing business with someone a little shady. Until the police show up at our door or we are stopped for a traffic violation and suddenly we need help.

Our subconscious mind shows us information in dreams in hopes that we will take action to prevent disaster. Ideally we would stop drinking or take a cab home, drive more carefully and pay outstanding tickets, stop associating with people we have serious doubts about. But often we don’t.

Another way to act on your dreams to prevent disaster is to find a good attorney and carry his or her card at all times, program the number into our phones, etc. For example, in Ohio, you might need to know a good Cincinnati Attorney. It always pays to be prepared.

Even if you are only visiting the city on a business trip, you could suddenly need to a good Cincinnati Criminal Lawyer. The time to pick on out and make the connection is before a crisis occurs.

A fun gathering with new associates or even a staid business dinner could result in someone in your group suddenly needing a Cincinnati OVI Attorney to keep from being charged with driving while intoxicated. Your being prepared could save the day.

Really all of us should find a lawyer we have confidence in and keep their contact info with us at all times. If nothing else, it may come in useful for someone else who is not so prepared as we are.

So if you have had dream of police, a courtroom, accidents, a lawyer, a jail or a judge, take action. Ask around for the name of a good criminal attorney and do a little research, so you can be the one to save the day.

Because some dreams are really our own minds warning us about things that on some level we already know.

Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss

Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss

In my opinion this is still one of best, most unusual and most practical dream books ever. It is also the most entertaining to read. The author, Robert Moss, was an award-winning journalist, then a best-selling novelist (thrillers), before he began writing about his lifelong experience with lucid dreaming and dreamwork.

Moss has written several books on his dreamwork methods and experiences, and all of them are great! He is a gifted teacher as well as a concise, entertaining writer.

Written by a popular leader of dream workshops and seminars, Conscious Dreaming details a unique nine-step approach to dreams, especially precognitive and clairvoyant ones, that uses contemporary dreamwork methods and techniques developed from shamanic cultures around the world.
