Warning Dreams

April 24, 2014 on 8:56 pm | In Dream Come True, Dream Research, Message Dreams, Prophetic Dreams, Taking Action | No Comments

The subconscious mind is very observant. It knows far more about our bodies, minds, and lives than our conscious mind does.

Researchers have found that by hooking people up to electroencephalograph machines, for example, they can tell when someone realizes or recognizes a target object, such as a landmark on a map as viewed from a plane in real life, long before the subject signals (by pressing a button) that they have consciously recognized it.

Dreams are the nature’s way of communicating subconscious knowledge to our conscious minds—or trying to. You see, the subconscious mind communicates in pictures, metaphors, and symbols. It rarely deals in names or numbers.

That makes it easy to avoid unpleasant realizations if we choose to ignore them: the cheating partner, the serious health problem, the impending job loss. We do know, but we refuse to accept or acknowledge an unpleasant situation, because then we would have to do something about it.

Most of us never dream that we will be arrested and spend time in jail. It is unthinkable to the average middle class person. Yet it happens every day to someone.

On some level we may know that we drive when we’ve drunk a little too much, that we keep forgetting to pay those traffic tickets, or that we are doing business with someone a little shady. Until the police show up at our door or we are stopped for a traffic violation and suddenly we need help.

Our subconscious mind shows us information in dreams in hopes that we will take action to prevent disaster. Ideally we would stop drinking or take a cab home, drive more carefully and pay outstanding tickets, stop associating with people we have serious doubts about. But often we don’t.

Another way to act on your dreams to prevent disaster is to find a good attorney and carry his or her card at all times, program the number into our phones, etc. For example, in Ohio, you might need to know a good Cincinnati Attorney. It always pays to be prepared.

Even if you are only visiting the city on a business trip, you could suddenly need to a good Cincinnati Criminal Lawyer. The time to pick on out and make the connection is before a crisis occurs.

A fun gathering with new associates or even a staid business dinner could result in someone in your group suddenly needing a Cincinnati OVI Attorney to keep from being charged with driving while intoxicated. Your being prepared could save the day.

Really all of us should find a lawyer we have confidence in and keep their contact info with us at all times. If nothing else, it may come in useful for someone else who is not so prepared as we are.

So if you have had dream of police, a courtroom, accidents, a lawyer, a jail or a judge, take action. Ask around for the name of a good criminal attorney and do a little research, so you can be the one to save the day.

Because some dreams are really our own minds warning us about things that on some level we already know.

Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss

Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss

In my opinion this is still one of best, most unusual and most practical dream books ever. It is also the most entertaining to read. The author, Robert Moss, was an award-winning journalist, then a best-selling novelist (thrillers), before he began writing about his lifelong experience with lucid dreaming and dreamwork.

Moss has written several books on his dreamwork methods and experiences, and all of them are great! He is a gifted teacher as well as a concise, entertaining writer.

Written by a popular leader of dream workshops and seminars, Conscious Dreaming details a unique nine-step approach to dreams, especially precognitive and clairvoyant ones, that uses contemporary dreamwork methods and techniques developed from shamanic cultures around the world.

How to Take Control of Dreams

January 22, 2014 on 8:57 am | In Dream Types, Health and Dreams, Lucid Dreams, Taking Action | No Comments

There are many things that one can do before turning in for the night and one thing that is important to learn is how to take control of dreams and one of the easy ways to help induce a pleasant dream at night is to keep a small notebook at your bedside table.

Each night before going to bed, jot down an example or ideas of what you would like to dream about that night. Sound strange? Not really! By jotting down these thoughts onto paper will help your brain internalize these thoughts and place them in your subconscious mind.

Once you are relaxed and in bed let you mind reflect on what you have just written down. This will ready your subconscious mind into thinking about these thoughts as you drift into slumber. Whether you play music that relates to your thoughts or dreams as you relax in your bed, these signals are transmitted to your brain and help your mind thought take control of your dreams.

Of course, environment also does play an active role in determining what type of dream you might have when you go to bed. Watching a scary movie just before bedtime might just play havoc on your thoughts of having a good night’s rest.

Scary movies before bedtime tend to have us tossing and turning all night, so do remember to schedule these types of movies when you don’t have to wake up so early in the morning, just in case you have some sort of nightmare resulting from a movie from the night before.

Other ways that one can take control of dreams is to try to have a relaxation time just before bed. Whether this be a nice soak in the tub or a couple of pages or a chapter out of a book, reading before bedtime helps your mind to wind down from a long day of working.

By reading before bedtime, you are also giving your brain the chance to unwind and get rid of some of the stress and tension that it might have had to endure during the day.

Start Practical Dreaming Today

September 21, 2013 on 8:31 am | In Active Dreaming, Taking Action | No Comments

Have you ever heard of practical dreaming? One of the most important facts that you can imprint upon your mind is that every great leader is first a dreamer. Dreams are what propel everything forward, whether it is commerce or civilization, it doesn’t matter. Many people are mistakenly believe that now is not the time to dream (and dream big), but they are wrong. Now is the perfect time for practical dreaming.

Do you feel that the recent economic collapse means that practical dreams are something that should be put on the back burner for a while? Even if you don’t think this to be the case personally, you may indeed know someone who holds this belief. However, the exact opposite is true. Now is exactly the time to pursue your dreams, as now is a time of opportunity.

Intelligent people, driven people and determined people find the opportunities even in economic downturns and even in the middle of depressions. History bares this notion out as many individuals have made vast fortunes during severe economic times. They did this through practical dreaming and so can you.

In order to take advantage of the current situation, you need to focus all of your energy rather intensely on what you want and work toward that goal in a laser-like fashion. Achieving success is not impossible at this moment. You simply need to focus and use practical steps to make sure your dreams become a reality.

During the next ten years, the economic structure of the planet will need to be reformed and reformulated. Practical dreamers will be the one’s who remake our society and how it works. Consider the possibilities in alternative energy or eco-friendly products, to site just two of many examples. These fields are poised to create hundreds of new millionaires across the world.

While the overall economic indicators may look grim now, the long term prospects for huge wealth creation are substantial. More wealth may result from emerging technologies in the next few years than most of us have seen in our entire lifetimes.

So much of the reason that many practical dreamers don’t reach their ultimate goals of success is that they give up just as success is nearly in their hands. Many have trouble telling the difference between a temporary defeat and a permanent one. The trick is to simply not give up but to continue practical dreaming. Keep striving for what you seek.

The economic condition of the United States and the entire world look rather grim at the moment. People are very concerned that the days of prosperity and promise are over, perhaps for good. If you look back through history you will find this is not the case.

In fact the world has been through many recessions but at this time many people have trouble seeing all the opportunities that were right in front of them waiting. Practical dreamers understand that you need to be determined and also willing to see the opportunities that are right in front of you.

Dare to Dream – 7 Steps to Awakening Your Dream Life

September 4, 2013 on 6:55 pm | In Dream Come True, Taking Action | No Comments

1 – Make your dream map

Einstein – a man who knew a thing or two – said imagination was more important than knowledge. ‘Logics’, he explained, ‘will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere.’

So your first step in making your dream come true is to sit down with a piece of paper and a pen, and let you mind drift to the life you want to be leading. Imagine how you look? How do you feel about yourself? Are you fit and healthy, and how do you keep yourself so?

Are you in a relationship – and if so, what’s it like? Where are you living? Describe your home. Tell yourself about your family and friends.

Now, what’s your life’s work? Describe your job and your success.

Make sure you do all this in present tense, and remember- let your imagination run riot. Let there be no boundaries. You’re living the life you desire. Continue reading Dare to Dream – 7 Steps to Awakening Your Dream Life…

The American Dream Speech

August 28, 2013 on 9:36 am | In Dreamers, Taking Action, Visions | No Comments

We all have an American Dream. What is yours?

Perhaps it was being raised in an environment of love… where worship, music, food and education flourished on the foundation of freedom that is our nucleus … the American Family. Or maybe it was discovering your talents and dreams, working hard to realize them in the architecture and rhythm of the American Culture.

While for others it may be meeting the woman of your dreams, falling in love and spending eighteen years of joy filled moments with 5 of the most beautiful children that give reason to rejoice and insure the hope of America will breathe eternal.

How blessed I am to stand before you and say this has been my American dream, my life and my pursuit of happiness.

America is inspired by the glory of a dream. A dream that says welcome to our vast home. A home whose foundation has survived the quake of war, the brutal attacks of terror and the constant threat from those who wish to defy our constitution.

We rejoice in knowing the American Dream has not weakened but rather strengthened in adversity, grown stronger through conflict and rests in the arms of the greatest military in the world. Our freedom is their promise. Our lives are fortified by the men and women who bravely sacrifice theirs.

Through them we are embraced… we are liberated…we are protected.

From this strength we touch the world like a kaleidoscope of joy that contributes to the complexion of this great Nation and offers hope for all man kind. When Abraham Lincoln, in his Gettysburg Address, proclaimed “all men are created equal.” he was not speaking exclusively about Americans. We inherited the journey towards equality and human rights from our forefathers and have served them well.

Making Business Dreams a Reality with Managed IT Services

August 18, 2013 on 12:29 pm | In Dream Come True, Taking Action | No Comments

Whatever your dreams and plans are for your business, managing your IT operations should not be holding you back. There is no need for that. An excellent alternative to grappling with IT issues yourself is readily available.

Often companies think they should manage their own IT, when they really do not have the resources or expertise to do so. And they don’t know it. How can you gauge your ability to manage a field you don’t really understand?

The result is often an understaffed department of under-qualified people or people with the wrong set of skills. A personable but barely competent PC technician or programmer may often be elevated to IT manager and—in small companies—may end up dictating IT policies to management when they are not qualified to do so.

In contrast, hiring a a business-focused IT services company can take the burden off your line managers and return your company’s focus to doing to what it does best, making money in its own field of expertise. IT is a highly specialized field. You need a team of specialists—and the chances are your company does not have the expertise to recruit and manage them in house.

LookingPoint helps businesses adopt the latest technology and communications painlessly. Focused on business acceleration, they provide the highest level of quality and support, relieving you of the burden of trying to efficiently manage ever-changing technology outside of your own field.

IT has become the lifeline of business. Amateurism, downtime and performance issues have become simply intolerable in today’s business climate. It has become essential for companies, especially small to medium corporations, to engage a managed IT services provider. You get the best of their expertise with full service and security.

So you can get on with making your dreams and visions for your company’s success come true. And isn’t that you went into business for the first place?
