Experiencing Lucid Dreaming through Hypnosis and Binaural Beats

Lucid dreaming is a very interesting phenomenon. Not only is it enjoyable to experience, but it can also be used to help set the path for things that are happening in your life and give you answers to any questions you may have. In a nutshell, lucid dreaming is when you are dreaming, but you actually know that you are dreaming and have the ability to step in and change the outcome. This is different from normal deep sleep dreaming mainly because you still have some conscious awareness of what is happening. This state can be very useful to ‘play out’ things that are happening in your life because you have the ability to consciously remember what the dream is about and also ‘step in’ to direct it to an outcome which is beneficial for you.

So, how do I experience Lucid Dreams? Some people have a natural ability to experience this without really trying too hard, whilst others it can take years of practice. In my experience as a hypnotherapist which has given me a good understanding of the workings of the human mind, it is possible to ‘train your brain’ so to speak. I have found using hypnosis to be very beneficial to do this because it allows suggestion to subconscious mind to prepare and enhance you for the lucid dreaming state. I do have a special program for this called “Hypnosis for Lucid Dreaming” and the techniques I used on this are representative of the way hypnosis can help you experience them. One of the main things is that hypnosis allows access to your subconscious mind, wherein you can provide direct suggestion to enhance the state of lucid dreaming. This is done by allowing the mind to relax, embrace the optimal theta brainwave pattern for lucid dreaming and to have confidence that you can experience them. it can then be furthered by suggesting certain visualization techniques that will help promote entering into the dreaming stare and backing this up with the power to control your dreams better. Delivered through hypnosis, these suggestions should be taken on by the subconscious and transformed into a new way of looking at lucid dreams.

The second, and what I believe the most effective part for experiencing lucid dreams when you are starting out, is to provide a means for the mind to enter into the state. There are many ways including meditation, visualization techniques and music, but the best way I have found is to make use of an audio technique known as binaural beats. In fact on my program, there is a separate track called “Lucid Dreaming Binaural Beats” which contains a 40 minute audio session to put you into the optimal state of mind. Binaurals are great because they allow you to directly coax your brainwaves into exact levels of brainwave frequency. By playing specific theta frequencies, you are helping your mind operate within the theta realm at a level which is conducive to experiencing lucid dreams. This makes it easy to get into that exact right state for you (theta levels will vary with people) to kick-start the process. Personally I like to just find my own quiet space, put on some headphones and just allow my mind to drift away as I listen to the binaural beats. By doing this I find within 5-10 minutes I end up in that lucid state and this is when I can help make my dreams begin. Everyone is different and the time it takes may be longer or shorter, but I find that the binaurals are the easiest and most effective way to help bring the dreams on.

Together I find that the hypnosis gives you the deeper power and that the binaural beats give you the vessel to experience lucid dreams. I encourage anyone to try this out, it is perfectly safe and something that can really help give you clarity. Who knows, maybe you will even experience the next stage above lucid dreaming which some people call ‘out of body experiences’. it is amazing what our minds are capable of.
