OMG! Finally, people who can relate! I only told my sister and my mother about this because I didn’t want people to think that I was crazy. It happened to me about 5 years ago. I was awakened out of my sleep from our door buzzer. I hopped up, ran to the door and immediately thought somoeone was ringing my bell and running away! I woke my husband and asked him if he’d heard the door bell? I went back to sleep and that occurred again, this time it was the buzzer with the sound of my mother’s voice. At that time, we lived in Chicago and my mother lived in Maryland. I still don’t know what her calling me was about. I was very excited and I rushed over to the door because I thought she had come to visit me. No one was there. I would like more clarification as to what this is and if it happens again, am I to pray and ask God what he wants me to do?

I have this from time to time. I had it just the other night. It was a clear telephone ring. I used to get up and get the phone. Now, I just let it go. I think it is when my angels want me to pay attention and learn!! WAKE UP and get moving!!

interesting , twice I have had the doorbell ring and noone be there but it happens as if it is a warning. I heard the bell clearly went to the door and noone there, I then locked my door and within minutes I had danger at the door when a man tried to break in, then on Friday I heard the bell again and said to myself here we go again…Later that evening my husband was checking the survellaince tape and at the time I heard the bell 2 men had been in acar in front taking pictures of the house for whatever reason. Like I said , I have survellaince cameras on my home and am POSITIVE no one rang the doorbell but I swear I had heard it ring….In any case Im thinking that my deceased brother that was killed in a car accident 3 years ago is doing this as a warning to me. Im pretty sure that the last time was because the 2 people here casing out the house and taking pics are former business partners of my husband and are shady characters….I can only wonder if it ismy brother warning me of danger .

I woke up last night 4 am with the sound DINGGGGGG, I went out to check if someone is around the house, but there was no one,went back to bed and because I was scared I just lying in front of my laptop with the light on, when I heard it again DINGGGGG, WTF I was feeling electricity through all my body, I tried to record the sound on my phone and also I turned on sound recorder on the laptop, but after playback there was no sound. In regards to JS. I feel the same way, and have still not gotten rid of the door bell, and phone and text message. i am beside myself. Do i go to get help, or do i still continue to ignore this. It is not normal for this to happen. It is not a part of a dream. This is so real.

Have had these same dreams, with the doorbells and in the beginning the phone ringing for about 20 years. Last night i had something a little different. i woke up to the sound of a text message on my cell at 1:30 am. I got up furious that someone would text me in the middle of the night only to find nothing. this freaks me out, but i am glad that i am not the only one. I talked to a friend about it and she said that it is someone that has passed on and is trying to say hello.

If you read the other comments, you will find many experiences and opinions. I don’t recall any that had an experience like that of your friend’s mother, so it seems to be uncommon. Chances are that your doorbell dream is not an omen. AS to what it is….that’s what we are all discussing. Glad to have you in the group.

When you have an odd dream, you usually dismiss it for what it is… I cannot stop thinking about the doorbell ring I heard this morning- I know it was in my head, and it woke me up, not a malfunction or prank at my door. It got me thinking, that’s for sure. I wasn’t dreaming about someone ringing the bell, it seemed to interrupt my dream. I can’t shake it. I was so nervous. My friend’s mother always wakes to a doorbell when a family member has passed or been injured, or three days before. I hope this is not the case for me…

hey, i was having this doorbell ring in my dreams last night like at 3am, I was like im NOT getting the door, for one its unsafe, then i was kinda like scared. after i fell asleep it happened again… I know no one was at my door, its just creepy..
