  1. What Did You Dream About Last Night? Dreams often contain imagery and symbolism that represent hidden ideas, repressed thoughts, etc. Knowing what is behind a dream is something that really intrigues certain people. We all want answers to life’s problems and issues. With this book, a person can look up a dream and then try to find clues to their past, present, and future. The author attempts to uncover the hidden meaning behind certain dreams and he succeeds in some ways but fails in others. Some of the explanations that Miller gives in this book are very simple and he doesn’t make very many accommodations for a dream that combines two subjects into one. I can quickly look up an explanation for a dream that involves running away from an attacker. I can lookup an explanation for a dream that involves riding on a bicycle. But this book doesn’t give an explanation for someone who is fleeing from an attacker in their dream, and then jumps on a bicycle and safely escapes. Looking up the separate interpretation for each dream isn’t very useful because the combined meaning is probably something else entirely. With some dreams, a person doesn’t need a book to explain their meaning, and the explanation given by the author is probably irrelevant. For example, if someone is having difficult times with money and cannot pay their bills, there’s a very good chance that he/she will have a dream about money. According to this book, if a person dreams about finding money, this denotes small worries but much happiness and change is on the way. In this instance, I think a better explanation is that the dream was just a continuation of the individual’s thoughts for the day, with a little wishful feeling coming through in the form of finding money in the dreamThe book is very well organized. You can easily lookup a main subject, and then be directed to a cross- referenced subject, if one exists. It’s easy to find an answer, but remember that while this book does cover a large number of subjects, it doesn’t cover every subject. You could dream about some topics that won’t have an explanation in this book. This is the type of book that some people will really enjoy, while others might glance at it a few times, and then toss the book into a closet to collect dust. If you give this book as a gift to someone in your household who is very intrigued with this type of subject, don’t be surprised if they start to keep the book next to their bed and make frequent reference to its explanations.10,000 Dreams Interpreted is a mildly entertaining book, but not one to take too seriously. When it comes to dreams, there are many possibilities. You cannot, and should not, view the interpretations in a dream guide as being concrete and without possibility for error. We all want answers, but nothing in life is that simple.

  3. A Good book, there is an iPhone app too I regularly use the book and the iPhone version too. It is called MyDreams and is avalilable from the iTunes App Store. I keep my iPhone on my bed table so the app is sometimes more useful. Has a search capability too.
